Ministers in New Zealand who can perform the marriage ceremony under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908, number 2494, according to a list just published. The list covers 64 churches, sects, or religious bodies, and included among the persons listed are five archbishops, 10 bishops, 11 monsignors, one Salvation Army Commissioner, 31 women, one woman , member of the Legislative Council (Mrs M. M. Dreaver), a Maori member of Parliament (Mr Matiu Ratana) and various pastors and elders.
