Dr. E. T. Dawson, medical superintendent at the Whakatane hospital, is now on annual leave. It is expected that he will resume his duties on March 4.
Mr A. W. G. Wiggins, Poroporo, who was wounded in a shooting incident on the Whakatane>-Tauranga main highway a fortnight ago is now out of danger, .. with his condition improving steadily, reports the Whakatane hospital. He is now able to get up and walk about.
