Unusual Taste
Many strange animal diets have been recorded from time to time but one noticed recently in Te Aroha seems uique. A small fox terrier was trotting along the footpath when it was attracted by several walnuts outside a grocer’s shop. Within a few seconds the shells were cracked between the dog’s teeth and the kernels disposed of in a manner which suggested that this was not the first occasion on which nuts had been included in the dog’s diet.
