Motorists Are Safe When Lightning Strikes A Car
Many a motorist when caught out on the road during a severe thunderstorm has a shiver up his spine when lightning flashes appear perilously close However, according to a recent test conducted in a USA research laboratory, one is really safe in a motor car when lightnging strikes This fact was demonstrated during a man-made storm when a 3,000,000 volt charge of electricity was fired at a passenger car to determine what happens when the elements flash down on Mr Motorist It is reported that even the engineer who sat at the wheel of the car throughout the experience didn’t mind. The vehicle acted as a light-ning-proof case, diverting the heavy current harmlessly around the passenger
Only a small scorched spot on the car’s metal top remained as evidence of the dramatic, test.
