Elbow Jolts
.... By Left Hand Corner The beautiful brunette female aviation editor of a mazine in Los Angeles stripped in. the street because she had been fined for a traffic offence. Will Messrs Kehoe and Carling please look out for beautiful brunettes committing traffic offences. There just MIGHT be a. coincidence. Pity we haven’t an aviation editress, isn’t it?. XXX In wild life an elephant will feed for 18 to 20 hours out of the 24. A timber or working elephant labours 3 to 4 hours daily and only 4 days a week, reports the “Standard.” Could this be an oblique hint that the 40-hour week is little too much for us? After all an elephant is so much bigger and stronger, so much better able to stand the strain, isn’t it? XXX By the way, we can drop that old wise-crack about the Swiss Admiral. There really are Swiss Admirals, and some darned good ones, too, according to Mr Ernest Theiler, Swiss Consul who dropped in here last week. In fact, at one time, Switzerland’s chief exports seem to have been fighting personnel for the services of foreign nations. Nov/ that is prohibited by law. X X X And talking of Mr Theiler, makes one think of the Rotary Club, and the Rotary Club makes one think of its president, and thinking of him makes one . think of his hat —but why should his hat make one think of Herb Brabant?
