Link With Captain Scott
An interesting link with the late Captain Scott is revealed by actor Harold Warrender, who is appearing as the scientist Dr Wilson in “Scott of the Antarctic.” Warrender’s father sailed wijth Scott at the beginning of this century, and the two men were very great friends, Warrender’s father was a Commander at the time; Scott was his junior Lieutenant. The family friendship has continued, and when Scott’s sister decided to go on the stage it was Harold Warrender’s aunt who assisted her to do so.
