Take These To The Maternity Hospital
When the time to enter the mater-, nity hospital approaches there is after some confusion in the personal requirements the expectant mother should take with her to the hospital. Some hospitals adopt varying practices but the Department of Health has recommended adoption of the following list:— For the Mother: 3 nightgowns, 1 bed jacket, 1 dressing gown,- 1 pair slippers, 1 face flannel, soap, tooth brush, 1 dozen sanitary towels, sanitary belt, old linen, if possible. For the Baby: 3 gowns, 3 petticoats, 3 singlets, woollen or silk or wool, 3 cellular vests, 12 napkins, soap (Knight’s Castile), 2in crepe bandage, 1 dozen large safety pins, shawl or wrap for taking baby home.
