During the year 12 Legion of Frontiersmen were enrolled as fire police and they are expected to assist the working of the brigade by controlling traffiic and public at fires.
The annual dance raised £lO for the Cancer Fund. While no championships were won teams performed creditably- At the Bay of Plenty Demonstration however, the brigade was particularly successful. Inter-brigade competition was held on two occasions •against Opotiki, both teams gaining a win each. Since the last competition however the Rangitaiki Plains Dairy Company’s Volunteer Brigade has signified its intention of taking part in future events. The local annual competitions resulted:—
