Young Man Hurt In Fall From Rock

After climbing Pohaturoa Rock at Whakatane on Sunday morning, a young man fell from the top onto the road below and seriously injured his right elbow. He was Mr Howard Bedford, Mount Wellington, Auckland. Mr Bedford, who is holidaying at Whakatane, went out before breakfast for a quick walk and evidently decided to .climb the Rock. While on top he apparently slipped and fell to the bitumen road striking his elbow heavily. He was admitted to the Whakatane hospital where his condition is reported to be “satisfactory.”
