Took 48 Years To Deliver Letter
A-man who missed the last post in Australia has had his letter delivered in England—but it took 48 years to travel 11,000 miles. He put the envelope in a * bottle which he threw overboard, hoping it Would ) soon drift ashore.
It was found only last August on the beach of Wilson Promontory, most southerly point of Australia. The finder obligingly carried out the instructions with the latter andposted it on. Yellow with age, but still legible,' it arrived recently at Gloucester Place, Brighton. But the aunt ho longer lives there, and cannot be traced.
