A good crowd watched some impressive riding at the Bay of Plenty Motor-Cycle Club’s carnival sports meeting the Monday after Christmas. There were some thrilling finishes and a number of spectacular spills. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Of the visiting riders, O’Brien, of Hamilton, and Benson, . Gisborne, seemed to appeal most to the crowd with their dare-devil tactics and masterly handling of their machines. Benson set a new course res cord for a 485 yard lap in 28 1-ss<pc.
