Cavalcade Of Pony Riders Due Today

A group of 72 riders from Morrinsville, 33 from Putaruru and 17 from Cambridge, led by Mr P. L. Swarbrick, district Commissioner of the Morrinsville Pony Club, arrives at Ohepe Beach today from Rotorua, via the Lakes and Te Teko, where they bivouacked at the domain last night. Ages of the riders range from 9 to 25 years. Accompanied by several instructors, the cavalcade is preceded by a group of some 30 adults, motor transported, to prepare the halting places. There is also a blacksmith with the party. ✓ A three-day stay is planned at Ohope, probably including a 'gymkhana on Saturday. Then the party will travel back through Pukehina and Mourea to Ngongotaha. ■
