Good Performances i On Tuesday

Tuesday night’s athletic meeting attracted a fair muster of competitors, and yielded some interesting events. Considering that none of those present can have done much track work this year, the performances indicate definite talent in a' number of the starters. W. Ramsay’s easy mile win in 4min 58sec on a rough track that he can do a lot better if conditions are right. He showed stamina and moves nicely, but could polish up a bit with advantage. Ray Dawson turned out' for a work out and looks in the pink. We shall hear more of him this season—and possibly; in' big company. The 880yds in the athletic part of the Motor Cycle Club’s programme on Monday should give him the chance to shbw his paces on the local track. Tuesday’s I’esults: Women’s 75yds: J. Chadwick 1, O.
