How To Make Your Manicure Last Longer
A good manicure takes time, and since most women are short of time tips for making a manicure last are acceptable. First rule when applying varnish is* to put on a first coat and let it dry hard before applying a second. This is a tedious busiriess, but .it pays. If you obtain one of the colourless undercoatings the same applies. Let it dry hard before applying the finish coat of colour. Do/nof* apply varnish too thickly. If it has thickened, thin it down with remover. A thin coating lasts much longer than a thick one. While the varnish is still wet run the finger lightly around the top of the varnish nail. This leaves a hairline of white which scarcely shows yet helps to prevent chipping. Bath salts containing a lot of soda cause varnish to scale. If you are using this type of bath salts apply a little cuticle oil or vaseline to the nails before you take a bath.
