HIGH STANDARD OF BLOOMS AT GLADIOLUS SHOW

Record entries with exhibits of a particularly high standard was a feature of the second annual show of«the Whakatane Gladiolus Society, held in the Winter Show Buildings on Monday. Due to be held a fortnight ago the show was postponed because bad weather had delayed the blooming of the flowers. Entries were received from exhibitors all over the Bay of Plenty and the judge, Mr W. A. Brown, Tauranga, commented favourably on the high standard of the blooms. Results:— Open Champion: (F), W. J.
