More People
There were many more people in Whakatane on Friday than usual. Shops,* which regard Friday as their busy day, report that last Friday was one long rush, shop assistants being kept going all day. With Christmas now only a week off the late starters are beginning to think about presents and other shopping and have come to town in a last minute rush.
