Taneatua W.I. Drama & Glee Clubs Meet

A very pleasant evening was spent in the Lodge room Taneatua when the WJ. Drama and Glee Clubs combined for a special Christmas meeting. 'lt was decided that the Drama Club meetings should commence at 8 p.m. during the summer months. The proposed programme for the 1949 Eisteddfod was discussed and members were unanimous in their' approval, Carols were enjoyed by all members. So also was a mime presented by Mesdames K. Tebbutt, Bennett, Gardner and T. Anderson. Recitations, both grave and gay, were given by Mesdames Bennett, Goodhew and McGougan. Mrs Frost had arranged two wall competitions which were won by Mrs Gardner and Mrs K. Tebbutt. Supper concluded a very happy evening.
