P. and T. defeated Edgecumbe at Edgecumbe on Sunday. P. and T. scored 240 runs in the first innings, J. Rivett making 131 runs. He hit 6 sixes and 11 4’s„ but was eventually bowled by J. Campbell in the last over before lunch. Cleland scored 19, Martin 17, Seebeck 14. Thurlow took 8 wickets for 73 runs. Campbell 22, Tunnicliffe 19. Seebeck took 4 wickets for 9 runs, Whiteside 1 for 4, Goile 1 for 8. Edgecumbe’s second innings had yielded 66 for 3 at stumps, E. Campbell not out 30, Thurlow 19. Cleland took 1 for 6, Seebeck 1 for 19.
