Do Ohope Parents Care About School?
Do Ohope parents care whether their children have a school or not? Does its future interest them? One wonders, when one. considers that, of all the parents of (he 80 children who attend the side school only 10 thought it worth while to attend Saturday’s meeting to form a parents’ association with the object of endeavouring to retain the school at Ohope. The convener, Mr F. G. Cutler, expressed his disappointment strongly, and Mr C. H. Brebner called it “disgraceful.” It was decided to try again on Thursday night, those present undertaking to publicise the matter as widely as possible in the meantime. In view of the small attendance, no other, action was taken.
