EDGECUMBE SCOUTMASTER FAREWELLED

- There was a full muster pf scouts on Friday evening at' Edgecumbe when a scout party and farewell was held. The Cubs were also invited. Games and community singing was held and piano solos were played by Peter Ferguson, a duet by Ken Malpas and Robert Cunningham and musical items by Mr C. J. Plank. Mr J. Anderson on behalf of the committee, expressed his regret at the resignation of Scoutmaster P. Fraser, who is shortly leaving the district. He thanked Mr Fraser for his very valuable help with the scout pack. Captain' Rooney, Assistant Scoutmaster, spoke of the popularity and good work of Scoutmaster Fraser, with the boys in his charge. John Meikle on behalf of the Scouts, presented Scoutmaster Fraser with a book. -■
