Demand For Rehab. Loans Still Strong

Demand from ex-servicemen and women for rehabilitation loans continues unabated. This is exemplified by most recent statistics from the Department, which show that during the month of October loan authorisations totalled £1,152,115 to 1310 applicants. Seldom during the past three years has the monthly figure fallen below the £1,000,000 mark and on several occasions it has approached the figure of £2,000,000. Authorisations at the end of October totalled £57,109,246 to 70,503 ex-service-men and women. Loans have been for farms, houses, businesses, furniture, tools of trade and miscellaneous" purposes.
