. Sir Apirana Ngata made a short visit to Whakatane on Thursday. Seriously-ill for some time Sir Apirana was unable to attend the funeral of the late Te Keepa Tawhio, held recently at Whakatane, and he stopped, whilq motoring through to Rotorua, to pay his respects to the memory of the deceased and the family.
