Glading To Visit Whakatane

R. H. Glading, until last weekend New Zealand Open Golf champion, will be playing on the Whakatane links on the afternoon of Sunday, December 5, during a visit to friends here. Though his visit is not primarily a golfing one, the exchampion has let it be known that he will have no objection to a gallery.

Year’s Trophies Presented

Heavy rain marred the closing day of the Whakatane Golf Club on Saturday to such an extent that it had to be postponed until Sunday. Conditions then were not ideal but games were able to be played off. Trophies won during the year were presented by the president, Mr B. S. Barry.
