Kitchen Afternoon At Murupara

A delightful afternoon was spent in the Rangitaiki Hall on Saturday, in honour of Miss Biddy Willbond, of Murupara. The hostess, Mrs Alexander, arranged a racy programme of competition games, into which everyone entered enthusiastically, winners being: Mrs Creamer “Advertisements”; Mrs Webb “Articles on a Tray”; Mrs Creamer “Name This Song”. Miss Willbond apened a tableful of parcels and in a few appropriate words, thanked all present for their kindness. The splendid collection of kitchen ware evidenced the high esteem in which Miss Willbond is held in the community. The programe was brought to a close with a generous afternoon tea provided by those present.
