Awakeri Women’s Division

The Awakeri Women’s Division of Federated Farmers held the final meeting for the year in the Awakeri Hall. Mrs N. Carter presided over a good attendance. The roll for this year ended with 50 members. Mrs N. Carter gave a very interesting demonstration on the making of puff pastry. A quiz competition, on Division aims gave some most helpful knowledge to all present. Monthly competitions drew good entries, with the following results:— Flower: Mrs Currin 1, Mrs L. Carter 2, Mrs F. Matchitt 3. Fruit: Mrs Burr 1, Mrs Fabish 2, Mrs Barr 3. Vegetable: Mrs Brizzle 1, Mrs Fabish 2, Mrs Barr 3. Thrift article: Mrs H. Luke 1, Mrs N, Carter 2, Mrs Fabish 3.
