Sirs : In response to your enquiry regarding the operation of my Fordson Major Tractor purchased on the 17th December, 1946, I wish to state, that the machine has been ’ entirely satisfactory for the farm contracting business I have been operating in the, Franklin and Manukau districts. This machine was purchased following demonstrations made in competition with machines costing hundreds of pounds more, and I would still have chosen the Fordson Major on its performance even if the machine had been in the same price category as the other makes. This ’ demonstration included steep hill country as well as normal level country. The Tractor has now done over 1,800 hours without any mechanical defect—oil consumption nil and overall average petrol consumption gallons per hour. My experience with other makes of tractors goes back a number of and I would say without hesitation that the Fordson Major is the most economical tractor to operate for all-round farming conditions. This is borne out by the fact that I am now disposing of smaller horse-power machines operated in the past. (Sgd.) W. G. Bryant, Smith's Avenue, Papakura.. IMMEDIATE DELIVERY.
