THE ENEMY WITHIN

Sir, —Political propaganda can be a very subtle thing. But truth, without the kernel in the nut, can be cracked. Mr Beverley Baxter M.P., puts up a very good showing on / British politics (Herald, 24/8/48). • But he does not show where the sting in the administration of . “Party” Government comes in,. in that it has stagnated the economy of the people to austerity extremus. Therefore, his three ideologies are not the suffrage of nations,* but the ! control of nations under bne heading i.e., the political economy of each individual Nation is being controlled from New York. ' Therefore while our political economy is being controlled by political zion, freedom of judgment, movement, influence and work for the individual are non-existent. As the material existence of humanity has its basis on food, clothes and shelter, a threat ,to these things is no less a threat to freedom, and far more insidious.' No keen observer of world movements can doubt that there is an active, conscious conspiracy to enslave the world. Parties which appear to be separated by utterly divergent aims, are found on close analysis to have identical objectives—the domination of a system over all effective dissent. The achievement of the end consists in depriving the individual of his economic independence, either by vesting physical control in the state (conscription), or by “nationalising” through grinding taxation, or otherwise the means of production; and abolishing all purchasing power not issued “on terms” by the State. Yours etc., W. BRADSHAW. 1
