A public farewell to take the form of a social and dance is being ten- ' dered to Mr and Mrs K. E. Phillips and family who are shortly leaving ' Edgecumbe to reside in Taumarunui. Mr Phillips, who has been a member of the Edgecumbe railway staff for the past nine years, has received • notice of transfer or? promotion to Signalman and will be leaving to '--take up his appointment at an early .date.
