NO ANIMALS TO BE X-RAYED AT TAURANGA

The question of whether animals should be admitted to the Tauranga Hospital to be X-rayed was, discussed at the monthly meeting of the board. Members generally agreed that they should not. The subject was introduced by the Medical Superintendent (Dr. F. Sligo) who stated that a Tauranga resident had rung him up recently asking if his dog, which had a broken leg, could be X-rayed at the hospital. Dr. Sligo said that he declined the request. •It was pointed out at the meeting that on one occasion in the past a' pedigree bull calf with a broken leg had been X-rayed and there had later been complaints of the smell left in the room.
