Jitterbug Champ

Arthur Walsh, former national jitterbug champion, changes his tempo to a slow waltz for his role in “Little Women.”. Walsh, who won the nod over more than 50 other aspirants, amazed everyone who knew him as the former Jitterbug King with his ability at waltzing, 1868 fashion. It wasn’t until later that the young actor revealed the truth. An ardent June Allyson fan, he set his heart on winning the role when he discovered that he would have June asa partner and she took lesions in waltzing. Walsh, formerly under contract to recently completed another role in “Command Decision.”
