Wool Board Seeks Substitute Packs
Inquiries into the advisability of importing a special loom to make a woolpack material from wool and paper were made by the New Zealand Wool Board some months ago but the proposal proved to be impracticable. The uncertainty of the future of jute supplies was the reason for the inquiry, but orders already placed and accepted gave sufficient woolpacks to cover the 1948-49 season. Further information is being sought from South Africa about a woolpack made of paper and cotton.
