WAIMANA INSTITUTE SHOW OF FLOWERS
All Entries Of Highest Standard At the Waimana-Nukuhou Women’s Institute flower show the display of flowers, especially in the decorative section, was beautiful. There were 188 entries, and all were of high standard. The judges were:— Cut flowers, Mrs Scott Abott. Opotiki, and Mrs F. Parkinson, Otara. Decorative section, Miss E. Bridge and Mrs Claydon, Opotiki. The points prizes went to Mrs Whiteman, decorative, and Mrs N. Eagle, cut flowers. Results:Cut Flowers Collection bulbs, 1 of each: -Mrs M.. King 1, Mrs N. Eagle 2, Mrs J. Mitchell 3; 3 entries. Largest collection shrubs in bloom, 1 of each: Ms Wylde 1, Mrs King and Mrs Mitchell 2, equal, Mrs Lex McDonald 3. 5 entries.
