RATIONING CONTROLLER NEW RATION CARDS On Issue From Monday, October 11, 194 b , New Ration Cords (Bth series) will be issued between Monday, October 11, and Friday, October 22, inclusive. Details of where and at what times to obtain your cards will be found at the foot of this advertisement. If not ■otherwise stated all Money Order Offices will be issuing offices. Help yourself and the Post Office by making early application. New ration cards must be obtained by October 22. HOW TO GET THE NEW RATION CARDS Who Can Apply Any person 16 years of age or over may apply on his or her own behalf. The head of the family may apply for all members of the family. An agent may apply on behalf of a sick or disabled person. The Principal is to apply on behalf of children at boarding school. ) BE SURE YOU GET THE How To Apply Application forms are at issuing offices (see list below). One form is to be filled in for each Ration Card. The current 7th Series Ration Book must be presented with each application. RIGHT RATION CARDS Check cards as soon as you receive them to ensure that you have the correct ones. CARD R. 8.5: Persons born on or before December 31, CARD R. 8.6: Children born between January 1, 1944, 1943. and April 30, 1948. SPECIAL CASES SUPPLEMENTARY, EGG SHEET, BUTTER CARD: (at Expectant mothers will receive a priority egg sheet and an extra allowance butter card on application supported by doctor's certificate. (b) Persons 70 years of age and over will be given extra allowance butter coupons if they present evidence of age. (If at present getting extra butter no evidence of age need be produced.) (cl Persons receiving Special allowances on medical grounds may have them renewed on presentation of new or endorsed medical certificates at Rationing Offices. ARMED FORCES: Members of the Armed Forces living out of camp must present Form R. 8.4 (issued by the Commanding Officer) with their old ration books. LOST RATION BOOKS: It the current ration book is lost (or if you have never been issued with one), apply at the issuing office enquiry counter. VALIDITY OF COUPONS: Coupons on the new ration cards will be usable from October 25. Butter coupons 4,8, 12. 16 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44. 48 and 52. are not available unless otherwise officially announced.
