Fencing Wire From Unravelled Cable
Ope hundred miles of fencing wire, sufficient to fenbe 16 or 17 miles of land settlement blocks, would probably result from the unravelling of several tons of steel cable which had been, acquired by the Lands and Sui-vey Department from the War Assets Realisation Board, said the Minister of Rehabilitation, Mr Skinner, speaking at the quarteryy meeting of the Re-' habilitation Council. The wire so obtained would be difficult to work, but he considered it would make good fencing.once it was up. The council was discussing the difficulties in obtaining wire for the rehabilitation land settlement programme.
