CRICKET ASSN’S ANNUAL MEETING: OFFICERS ELECTED
The annual general meeting of the. Bay of Plenty Cricket Association at Matata on Sunday was attended by twenty-five delegates representing Rotorua, Tauranga, Whakatane and Opotiki Cridket Associations. Officers elected for the 1948/49 season ares— Patron, Mr H. G. Warren (re-eleCt-ed) Whakatane; president, Mr H. L. Musgrave (re-elected) Rotorua; vicepresidents, tsre presidents of the five affiliated Sub-Associations; secretary, Mr Godfrey Beale, Rotorua; delegate to Auckland Cricket Association, Mr L. R. ‘Spring, Whakaj tane; sole selector, Mr S. A. R. Badj eley, Opotiki; hon. auditor, Mr H. G. Warren. ; Headquarters were again settled I at Rotorua and several alterations to ! the constitution of the Association were made. In future vice-presidents will not be elected at random but will consist of the presidents of the five affiliated sub-associations only. Previously all financial clubs of affiliated sub-associations were entitled i to nominate a delegate to the Association but in future each affiliated sub-association will itself nominate , one delegate for every two financial ' clubs under its control. The meeting was one of the most fully representative held and a considerable volume of domestic business was disposed of in a particularly harmonious atmosphere.
