Pigeon Poaching
Prosecuted by the Conservator of ■ [ Game, Internal Affairs Department, for poaching native pigeon in Motu River district near Maraenui, Mark .Ariki, who did not appear, was finked £5, costs 29/-. Evidence of the Ranger, ;Mr K. E. Francis, was that he had accosted Ariki and another man who had a gun and some pigeons which had been shot. A summons against the second man allegedly concerned had not been served.
