Engagement Party

A happy gathering of friends assembled at the home of Mr and Mrs J. A. Armstrong, Otakiri, on Saturday evening to celebrate the recent engagement of their only daughter, Dawn, to Mr Douglas Holman of Hamilton, and to coffer them their congratulations. Music was the main theme of the evening and all found they possessed good voices, and used them with much success. A delicious buffet supper was served, v after which a toast was drunk to the young couple. Mr Holman suitably replied. Mr Gordon Anderson expressed the thanks of all present to Mr and Mrs Armstrong for a happy evening and musical honours were accorded them. Miss Armstrong returned to Hamilton yesterday.
