National Jersey Show And Sale
The 26th national Jersey show and sale conducted by Messrs 'Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., at 'Claudelands on September 15 and 16 resulted in an average for both 'days of 86J which constitutes a record average for this fixture. The show awards were keenly •-competed for and were widely distributed. Breeders in the prize list -were as far distant as Manawatu, 'Taranaki and North Auckland. The grand championship on the first day was won by the yearling, bull, Jersey Lyn Prospector, bred by Mr A. * H. Finlays, Ngakuru and purchased by Mr. K. H. Martin, Ngongo--taha, for 200gns. t The grand champion of the second. day was the well-known show bull, Manakoa Neat Vagabond, entered by Mr Fred Brake, Katikati, and purchased by Mr D. Wapp, Piriaka, for 190gns. Top price of 365gns was secured by Messrs J. McGregor and Sons, Ngahinepouri, for their proven sire, Oddicombe Prospector, C. 8.8., which was purchased by Mr D. O. Murray, of Cambridge. •
