Taneatua Institute Gardening Circle's Annual Spring Show

The annual spring show. of the Taneatua W.I. Gardening- Circle held in the hall was a most successful event, notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather. There was a good attendance of W.I. members and their friends, who were entertained with two sketches provided by members of the Drama Circle. A competition arranged by Mrs McDonald and incorporating the names of Taneatua residents was most popular and resulted in a tie between Mesdames H. Hill, Gardner and Semmens. There were 154 entries in the flower section, and they were all of very high standard. The judges were Mrs Wylde and Mrs Mitchell, of Waimana. Mrs K. Allen won the prize for most points in the show.
