800,000 WALK ON SHEEPSKIN CARPET

Approximately 800,000 people walked on a large Australian-made sheepskin carpet which was used at the International Wool .Secretariat’s display at the recent Ideal Home Exhibition in London. After the carpet had been cleaned there was no. trace to be seen of the terrific trampling to which it had been subjected, states the New Zealand Wool Board. The total number of visitors to the exhibition was 1,100,000 and as the I.W.S. stand was in a central position near the main entrance hall, the. Secretariat estimates conservatively that-the number of per-sons-who walked on the carpet was in the region of 800,000.
