Holiday Camp For Young Boys
The Colombian Red Cross possesses a holiday camp for young boys, situated in the hills, in a fine estate set apart by the Rotary Club for school children, in memory of “Children’s Week.” Two months before the date of the projected visit the long and delicate .task of selection and preparation begins. Some of the poorest children in the schools are chosen and come to the Red Cross consulting rooms. The Ladies’ Committee generally undertakes to supply clothing for the clothing depot, sheets, kitchen utensils and the necessary table appointments. At the appropriate time, lorries bearing the Red Cross flag transport the children to the camp.
