Mrs A. Carrol; Mt. Albert, Auckland, has returned home after a short visit to Edgecumbe, where she was the guest of Mrs S. G. Roberts. Mr A. E. Gibbons, „. Dominion Chairman Red Cross Society, of Hamilton, will be visiting Whakatane at the. week-end to attend a conference of Bay of Plenty Red Cross Centres, at the Red Cross Rooms Miss Jean Thompson, of N.Z. Railway staff, Hamilton, has returned to her post after a holiday spent with her relatives at Te Teko. Her many friends Will be pleased to hear that she is now fully recovered from her recent illness. j* Mr F. W. Lysaght, Whakatane Borough electrical engineer, _ has gone to Dunedin to attend the annual conference of the ~ Electric Power Boards and Municipal Supply Authorities’ Association. The engineers’ conference opens tomor’row, and the main conference next week. Mr Lysaght returns at the end of next week. 1 .
