BAY OF PLENTY WOMEN’S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP: DRAW FOR WEDNESDAY
The Bay of Plenty women’s open golf championship tournament commences on the Whakatane links on Wednesday, with the Bycroft Silver Rose Bowl at stake. There are 84 starters for the three-day tournament, b*ut the holder of the trophy, Mrs Hutchinson of Gisborne, wqs unable to make the trip. Competitors come from Cambridge, Te Puke, Rotorua, Opotiki, Tauranga, Wellington and Whakatane. Gisborne usually sends a strong contingent, but that was impossible this year on account of their engagements in the Napier tournament this week.
