"Would Like To Shoot Traffic Cop "

An 18-year-old labourer, who had a .45 automatic pistol and ammunition in his possession, had a dislike for traffic inspectors, and had said he wouSd “like to shoot a traffic cop, as they are no good,” it ‘was alleged in the Police" Court at Auckland. Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., remanded him in custody for a week for sentence to enable him to be examined by a psychiatrist. Accused was Selwyn James Walter Northage. He was charged with having in his possession an automatic pistol, 33 rounds of ammunition except for lawful purposes. Accused pleaded guilty.
