IN APPRECIATION
Sir, —I wish to state that I think the people of Whakatane should be proud of the fact that they have a hospital conducted in the manner it is. For treatment and kindness I do not think it could be surpassed. Up until the present it has been my misfortune to have to undergo 22 operations, some of which were done in some of the bigger centres, but nowhere have I.had better attention than at your hospital. Superintendent, Matron, Nurses and porters and maids—all with whom I had the good fortune to come in contact, are a splendid band' of men and women who are giving a wonderful service to the sick of your community. 1 . In conclusion, people of Whakatane, hats off to Doctor, Matron, Nurses and staff of yous hospital. Help them, for- they certainly help you. \ ' ' Yours etc., j. a. McDonald, Opotiki.
