Rehabilitation loans worth £53,726,906 had been authorised for 66,326 ex-servicemen and women by the end ®f July. In July itself 1459 loans were authorised valued at £1,#91,6tf7 k . Loans have been for farms, businesses, houses, furniture, tools of trade and other miscellaneous purposes. ~ Loans to purchase farms were increased t® 5063, which involved finance worth £20,831,481. This in&ludes 620 ex-servicemen settled on Crown lands. There were 101 farm loans authorised during the month. The end. of July saw housing loans brought to a total of 21,967, worth £25,915,118. There were 451 for July, valued at £547,689. There have been 9163 building loans authorised, worth £13,085,584 and 12,824 purchase loans worth £12,829,534. The 206 building loans for July were valued at £301,510, and the 245 pur-ch-as* loans for the same period entailed £246,179.
