McGougan Emergency In North Island Rugby Trial
In ' the Rugby trial which was played under foul conditions at Hamilton on Wednesday, with its news value badly overshadowed by the ~ tornado disaster, only two Bay of Plenty men earned the selectors’ re- \ cognition. F. McGuigan found a place in the B team for the North Island selection match, and our own. B. McGougan got elected as an emergency back. Local fans will be keen to see the big winger get a run in first class company, and his prowess will be watched with interest if he takes the field next week.
