Hurinui-Apanui Shield
In an exciting game played at Rotorua on Saturday, Te Puke just failed to regain the Te HurinuiApanui Shield in the final game of the season, the match ending in a draw, 11 all. , The Te Puke forwards, although lighter than their opponents, outshone the Rotorua pack in the loose and in the rucks. Rotorua, however, were successful in hooking the ball in about 80 per cent of the set scrums.
