Sound Financial Position Revealed In P. & T. Cricket Club’s Report

Starting last season with a credit balance of 5/8, the P. and T. Cricket Club built that figure up to £54 is 2d in credit now. Moreover, payments totalling £53 Is lid were met during the year, said Mr W. Rivett, in presenting the annual report to the Club’s general meeting on Tuesday night. From a playing point of view, the season was also successful, P. and T. Rovers running into second place to Waimana in the Clarke Shield competition and sharing first honours with the same club for the Collins Shield. P. and T. also won the majority of its games against outside teams and, in addition had the honour of having nine players in five teams during the season. Mr Rivett made a point of thanking the country players who had helped to make the season so successful. Subscription rates were fixed at £1 5s (active) and 5s (honorary). The active members’ rate is reduceabie to £1 if paid by the second playing day. Ground fees are to be Is a game per player.
