Miniature Rifle Shoot
Valley Road Rifle Range was again busy last week-end, when the Junior Miniature Rifle Club tackled a challenge shoot against two teams, one of returned servicemen and the other the Legion of Frontiersmen, It is to the juniors’ credit that they missed a victory by only a small margin. Totals for the three teams were: Juniors 279, R.S.A. 295 and Legion 295. Junior Club member N. Judd won the Club Pennant on handicap, and went on to defeat three seniors in the shoot off, for an open sweepstake. Another Junior deserving mention is A. Savage, whose consistent shooting will soon put him among the pennant winners. > Special thanks were expressed to Frontiersman A. G. Judd for his early morning efforts, in completely rebuilding the paths to the range, where it had been destroyed by flood Waters. The usual “boil up” was very welcome, and topped off a most successful meet. •
